It may be the hottest part of the summer, but the Dog Days at Great Country Farms are all about fun with your family and canine companions! Bring the entire family and rover for a romp in the sunflower field and then cool off in our new farm fountain. See how your dog measures up in the “rally and agility course,” then let him relax with a dip in the pond. Live music will keep your toes and paws tapping. The Roosterante will be open, featuring peach slushies and peach pies. All canine companions are asked to bring their owners on a leash and sport their finest rabies certification tag. Canine drinking water and scooping bags are provided.

Online ticket purchases will not be available this year. Advance weekly tickets may still be purchased by mailing a check or money order (no cash, please) payable to Loudoun County Fair along with a self-addressed envelope to:

After your payment has been processed, you will receive your tickets in the mail. All advance ticket requests must be postmarked by July 15, 2010 in order to ensure delivery before the fair begins.

Admission to the fair includes all shows, main events, animal and craft exhibits, and parking. Please note that carnival rides are not included in this cost.

Directions: To reach Red Rock from the Beltway (I-495), exit onto Route 7, drive west, just before Leesburg, exit onto Highway 15, north to Edwards Ferry Road (Route 773), take a right on Edwards Ferry and drive 1.5 miles to park entrance on the left.

The village is a Loudoun County Historic and Cultural Conservation Site, on the Virginia Historic Landmarks Register, on the National Register of Historic Places, and in 1970, the entire village, with the farmland surrounding it, was designated a National Historic Landmark District, one of only three such landmarks in the entire United States.
