“Re-Collections” is the first solo exhibit of original paintings by Loudoun native, Dana B. Thompson. Dana is an award-winning painter in oils having studied with acclaimed artists Janet Fish, Kurt Schwarz, and Maggie Siner. She is recognized for her larger than life, tightly cropped paintings which often present clever and dramatic compositions of vintage items, organic matter, and shiny, reflective objects. Dana graduated from Radford University, receiving a BFA in Art with honors, and is now an artist at King Street Studios in Leesburg. She worked for 25 years as a Graphic Designer/Art Director and later served as Education Director for the Loudoun Academy of the Arts. She is now the Communications Director for that arts organization and is also a member of The Art League in Alexandria, the Loudoun Sketch Club, and the Loudoun Arts Council.
